On August 27, 2025, Silk Road Fund Chairwoman ZHU Jun met with H.E. Khalid Al-Falih, Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia in Beijing. They reviewed latest development of investment cooperation and explored potential areas for future collaboration.

The delegation led by H. E. Khalid Al-Falih consists of several high-level government officials and corporate representatives from Saudi Arabia. Their itinerary covers Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong SAR, etc, with high-level meetings arranged with relevant Chinese government authorities, financial institutions and enterprises. The visit aims to deepen strategic cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia in the field of investment.

Silk Road Fund has long been committed to promoting in-depth alignment of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. It has maintained a strong relationship with Saudi investors, with committed investment amount in Saudi Arabia reaching USD 1 billion. By establishing a renewable energy investment platform with ACWA Power, an investee company of Public Investment Fund (PIF), Silk Road Fund has successfully expanded its direct investments into multiple BRI countries across Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
