The Samarkand Tourist Center Project in Uzbekistan

Samarkand Tourist Center locates in Samarkand, a renowned historical city along the ancient Silk Road and the second largest city of Uzbekistan. Featuring an international exhibition center, a five-star hotel and a commercial street, the Center was designed and built for holding the 2022 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit.

In April 2020, Silk Road Fund entered into a lending agreement with National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Uzbekistan (NBU), providing RMB loans to NBU to support the construction of the Center.

The SCO Summit was successfully held at the Samarkand Tourist Center in September 2022.
