Silk Road Fund and Indonesia Investment Authority Co-hosted a Seminar on China-Indonesia Investment Cooperation

On the afternoon of March 16 2023, Chairwoman ZHU Jun of Silk Road Fund (SRF) and CIO Stefanus Ade Hadiwidjaja of Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) co-chaired a seminar on China-Indonesia investment cooperation. Representatives from Indonesian Ministry of State Owned Enterprises, Indonesian Embassy to China, Chinese and Indonesian pharmaceutical firms, Chinese technology firms and relevant authorities attended the meeting. They shared insights on latest developments of some most vibrant economic sectors in China and Indonesia, and exchanged views on future cooperation and investment opportunities. In her opening remarks, ZHU Jun reviewed the rapid development of bilateral trade and economic relationship, and recognized the significance of the RMB 20 billion Investment Framework Agreement (“IFA”) between SRF and INA and the digital economy and pharmaceutical investments completed under the IFA framework. She also pointed to some sectors where lies huge potential for deeper collaboration, including pharmaceutical and healthcare, sustainable development and financial cooperation. Economic Counsellor of Indonesian Embassy to China Ms. Nadia Sumampouw highly commended investment cooperation between SRF and INA. Stefanus highlighted the importance of mutual partnership, and expressed the aspiration of delivering longer-term cooperation on more projects. Representatives from various institutions also attended panel discussions on bilateral cooperation opportunities in the healthcare industry and sustainable investment.
